NEFOWA requests GreNo Authority to provide manpower for cleaning of roads

The Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Authority over no cleaning activities at the roads in the area.

They also mentioned that there is no contract for cleaning of service roads and internal sector roads.

The President of NEFOWA, Abhishek Kumar wrote, “NEFOWA has been raising this issue time to time and various media houses have covered this issue.”

Recently, NEFOWA cleaned the service road near petrol pump of Sector 16B which was earlier full of dust and soil.

Kumar mentioned that they are planning to carry out this cleaning activities regularly in the area. He requested the Authority to provide them with manpower to carry out cleaning and sweeping activities.

Earlier on May 5, the residents, who were associated with NEFOWA took the responsibility of fixing the issues with the roads in their own hands.

They called tankers to sprinkle water on roads. JCB machines were used to take out the dust accumulated on the road. More than 50 people worked themselves to improve roads. It took three weeks to clear the dust from the road.

After cleaning of the roads, they said that it is now responsibility of the Authority to ban movement of vehicles carrying soils on these roads.

“We have been complaining about dust on the roads and garbage littering nearby the societies. A group of residents from different societies took initiative to launch cleanness drive at least once in a week and then other residents too came out to support this move. We wrote a letter to the authority and have requested to provide manpower so that we can assist them to make the area clean and dust free,” Kumar said.
