Green Arch: Hassled with issues, residents demand change of maintenance dept

Hassled with the frequent issue with maintenance at the society, the residents of Green Arch society demanded to change the maintenance department.

In a letter written to the builder who is carrying out the housing keeping and other maintenance, residents have demanded that the maintenance department should be replaced with new one.

The residents have alleged that persons associated with the department have regularly shown very careless approach on any issues for which they have made complaints.

“Lives of 800 families residing in the society have been affected by the poor maintenance and unresponsive attitude of the persons associated with it. Despite maintenance charges being paid, we are not receiving services against it. Therefore, we have demanded to change the leading persons heading the maintenance department,” said Naval Singh, a resident.

"Forget about other things as the situation is such worse that daily waste generated out of the flats is not being collected properly. Basement of the building is filled with water and stagnating garbage for last several months,” Singh added.

Regular electricity cuts and defunct fire extinguishers are other issues which they have mentioned in their complaint to the builder.

“Why we would need such maintenance department when we do not get proper response and communication. During the summer, mock drill on fire safety is mandatory but they never did it even once. We all are worried about our lives and hopeful that the developer would understand our grievances,” said another resident of the society requesting not to be named.

Talking about their long list of complaints sent to the developer, residents further alleged that they had to move from pillar the post to find the right person they wanted to communicate on any issue.
