People across the sub-city are overjoyed these days. Reason? Presence of trees like Amaltas, Gulmohar, Oleanders, Ficus and Boganbelia are defining the beauty of the area, making the stretches alongside them look absolutely beautiful and amazing!

Hundreds of bloomed Amaltas could be seen alongside the lanes in Sector 10, towards the metro station, Sector 6 market and near Vardhaman Mall, itching residents across Dwarka to take strolls during daytime and evenings.

Swati Chawla, a nature lover and resident of Saksham Apartments (Sec 10) said, “I feel privileged to live in a sector which is covered with full bloom AmaItas these days. Watching these beautiful, yellow flowers during evening and morning walk is a real pleasure for me. From the stretch near Godrej Apartments till Jain temple of the sector, I have noticed that no other species of trees can be seen other than Amaltas. Due to its colour and appearance, residents call the stretch as 'Golden Street'.

Across Dwarka, Amaltas could be seen in Sector 12, 22 and 23 besides Sector 10. Gulmohar and other trees can be seen in other areas of the sub-city.

Talking to City Spidey, environment activist and resident of Sector 16B Ramesh Mumukshu said, "The area must have such species of trees as they sustain in this type of soil. Seeing the growth and the beauty of such trees in Dwarka in summers, I must say that the horticulture department has done a great job. Amaltas and Gulmohar trees are making the sub-city look beautiful these days."

“Definitely, Amaltas and Gulmohar trees in Sector 10,11,12,22 etc. have made the area beautiful this summer. Seeing these flowers bloom and sustain has given us more confidence to plant more and beautify the sub-city. More such ornamental trees would be planted along the 45 metres road and 60 metres road in the sub-city during monsoon,” Zameen Ahmad, deputy director of the Horticulture department (DDA) said.
