The swimming pools for the community people at Delhi Development Authority’s sports complexes in various parts of Delhi are now fully operational. According to DDA, due to repairing and maintenance, most of the swimming pools were not operational.
But seeing the requirement and demand of the people during summer, the work has been completed on war footing. Now, all the pools are ready to use by the people.
The DDA has fourteen swimming pools in the sports complexes across Delhi. At Dwarka, one swimming pool is at Sector 11 sports complex. As said by DDA, earlier due to requisite repair and maintenance, only four swimming pools were initially functional.
“In order to provide adequate swimming facilities during the current summer season, the DDA sports wing fast tracked repair and maintenance on war footing and now all the swimming pools have been made functional and available to the members,” said one of the officials of DDA.
The operational swimming pools are - Chilla Sports Complex, CWG Village Sports Complex, Poorvi Delhi Khel Parisar, Yamuna Sports Complex, Netaji Sports Complex, Jasola, Kanti Nagar, Rashtriya Swabhiman Khel Parisar Pitam Pura, Rohini Sports Complex, Major Dhyan Chand Sports Complex Ashok Vihar, Pratap Nagar, Saket Sports Complex, Siri Fort Sports Complex, Vasant Kunj Sports Complex, Baba Gang Nath Marg Munirka, Dwarka Sports Complex, Hari Nagar Sports Complex, Paschim Vihar Sports Complex.
