Panchsheel Greens: Cops' inaction in 5 months old theft case irks residents

Residents of Panchsheel Greens, a high-rise in Greater Noida West, are utterly disappointed by the local police. Reason? It has been five months since three flats of this society got burgled following which the flat owners registered an FIR with local police, claiming loss of Rs 5 lakh each but no action has been initiated so far in this regard.

The victims and the complainants, Abhay Kumar, Rajat Kumar, and Ashish Chanda, alleged the local police had promised to crack the case within a month but nothing happened.

"The cops, with the help of CCTV footage, detained the miscreants to interrogate them but what happened after that, we are still clueless about it," the victims added.

Citing the callous approach of the police reason for the delay in the case, complainants raised concerns about their safety within the society premises too.

Cash and other valuables were reported stolen from three flats in broad daylight on December 27. The incident took place when the owners were not at home.
