Residents of Ghaziabad will soon be able to book bus seats through a new app called Shuttl. A detailed timetable of bus routes will also be available on the app. These air-conditioned buses will be equipped with Wi-Fi and FM.
Representatives of Shuttl, a Pune-based company which operates in several cities across the country, met Ghaziabad Mayor Ashu Verma and proposed to implement the app in the city. Verma has asked the company to give a detailed report to enable him to take things forward.
"Cities like Mumbai, Chennai and Pune are already using the app-based bus service," said Verma. "It makes things convenient for commuters."
In its first phase, the CNG buses will ply from Ghaziabad to different cities of NCR. The second phase will see the service being introduced within the city.
