Noida: Preschool kids highlight ill-effects of plastic ahead of Environment Day

The kids along with teachers observed “World Environment Day” by highlighting the ill-effects of the excessive use of plastic bags at Rayz International Preschool in Sector 19, Noida.

150 children preschooling at the institution assisted their class teachers in creating awareness about the adverse impact of non-degradable plastic on the environment.

Trying to draw attention toward the serious repercussions of the dumping of plastic waste, they created an art project depicting the plastic problems at different oceans.

They used plastic bottles, polythene bags, plastic cups, plastic bottle lids to show how these non-degradable materials created a bottleneck in the environment.

While encouraging people not to use plastic carry bags and give up this practice, Dr S Kumar, chairman of the school said that plastic not being disposed off is a big problem for the world's oceans.

He informed that on an average 8 million tonnes of plastic are being dumped into the marine. It poses a serious threat to water animals. He said that we have to minimise the usage of plastic bags gradually and finally we should try to avoid use of plastic.

On this occasion, vice president of the school Jasmin Kumar and admission in-charge of the school Sanchita Shaw were present. Holding placards in their hands, tiny-tots were seen creating awareness to save the environment.
