A complaint was registered against three locals and few unidentified persons for making attempts to throttle a resident of Supertech Ecovillage-2, Greater Noida West, at Bishrakh police station on Monday.
According to the complaint, Shailesh Kumar Potdar, a resident of the society informed the police that three locals attempted to strangulate him while he was going to buy vegetables from a local vendor.
Potdar said that when he shouted for help, four women including his wife came for help. But accused threatened and assaulted them as well.
He added, “These persons called some other locals and attacked me. They tore my clothes, abused and beaten me badly. They also behaved rudely with women who came for help. They can further attack us.”
Residents alleged that police were not registering the complaint against these accused as they mounted pressure on police with the help of influential politicians.
Seeing the reluctance, the residents gathered in huge number outside the police station and demanded that complaint must be registered against these accused.
On receiving a complaint from the victim, the city police registered an FIR against three locals who were identified as Dipak, Minal Tomar, Omed Kumar and some unidentified people under section 307 (attempt of murder) of IPC. The police have also initiated an investigation in the case.TAGS: Greater Noida West crime / Throttle attempts / Supertech Ecovillage / Crime outside Supertech Ecovillage-2 / Greater Noida West news on City Spidey / Greater Noida West news / Greater Noida news
