It is not a secret that people want to utilise their Sundays in best possible manner. Today was one such day when Dwarka saw a series of activities including walkathon, health camp, distribution of chhabeel and book launch.
A walkathon and a free health checkup camp were organised by Akash Hospital in which thousands of people participated.
The hospital organised health checkup camp at Celestial Height Apartments in Sector 2 in association with the management of the society. On the other hand, a free eye checkup camp was organised by Centre For Sight Eye Hospital in Sector 9.
At Sadbhavna Apartments in Sector 22, chhabeel was distributed on the occasion of martyrdom day of the 5th Guru of Sikhism, Guru Arjun Dev.
Chhabeel was distributed by the working committee of Guru Singh Sahib Gurudwara Kalgidhar Sahib in which sweet milk was distributed to the community people. A langar was also organised on the occasion.
At an event related to literature and poetry at Jain Mandir in Sector 10, a book of poem by Keshi Gupta, a resident of Vinayak Apartments in Sector 10, was launched.
The book named, “Rooh Ki Awaj,” was launched in the presence of the chief guest and ex-governor of various states, Syed Sibtey Razi. On the occasion, many eminent poets from Dwarka and other parts of Delhi recited their creations.
