A group of residents including senior citizens, women and children, from high rise societies in Sector 137 carried out cleaning drive at a nearby park in Noida. They got up early in the morning and gathered at the spot to clean the nearby sector's park.
As soon as they reached the park, the residents wore hand gloves to protect themselves and launched their cleanliness drive with all excitement. They continued cleaning in the park afterwards.
They picked all the plastic carry bags, food packets, water bottles, which were lying in the park. Collected wastes were finally dumped at a place from where it will be picked for disposal.
Residents told that they gathered in the morning and carried out cleaning drive till the time sunlight was bearable. They said that there was a need to clean the park as they visit there regularly for a morning walk and exercises to keep themselves fit.
They were agitated with the bad state of the park. After the cleaning, the residents were happy that they will now be able to do exercises with complete peace of mind.
In the end, residents promised that they will carry out cleanliness drive in regular intervals in the future.
