There are over 20 societies that have formally registered their complaints against the builder with the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP).
In an incident related to malfunctioning of lifts, a mechanic on Sunday died while looking after the maintenance of a lift at Alpha One, a high-rise in Sector 84 of Gurugram.
According to a report published in the Millenium Post, the deceased has been identified as Anup. He was 24. “He got stuck in the wires and got crushed while working. He died on the spot,” police said.
Cops have registered a case under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against the management of the Alpha One builders.
Following the incident, residents have raised their concerns to the Chief Minister using various social media platforms. Besides, they have written a letter to the Prime Minister Office (PMO), seeking his intervention in this regard.
In addition to this, certain resident bodies have taken the task of maintenance from the builders. These bodies, however, claim that there is no backing from the builders' lobby as they do not forego the heavy maintenance fee that is being obtained from the residents.
