Following a written complaint made by a group of residents to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Tuesday, the builders of the under-construction malls across Greater Noida West have promptly adhered to the pollution control norms.
Happy with the quick response shown, residents shared the latest pictures of these sites equating with the older ones.
Earlier, residents apprised the tribunal about the encroachment on the service lanes as construction materials and debris are lying there. They also brought to the fore the other violations such as no water sprinkling on sites and absence of green net covers at the sites.
They also alleged saying the mud caused by the construction debris on the services roads (located in Sector 16B) is affecting the smooth movement of vehicles as well as contributing to dust pollution greatly.
Besides proper repair and cleaning of service roads, the residents demanded strict action including the imposition of hefty fines on violators. They further suggested plantation of more trees in the area to tackle dust pollution and in general.
