GB Nagar: Amrapali home buyers pin hope on CM's visit to address their woes

As Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Gautam Buddh Nagar on Friday for a review meeting with all three development authorities (Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway), home buyers of Amrapali Group expect that their long-pending issue gets raised along with others.

"We are hopeful that CM Yogi would say something about the long-pending issue. He will not meet us directly but we have urged our MLA to raise our concerns before him,” said KK Kaushal, one of the flat buyers.

On Thursday, a group of home buyers had approached local MLA Pankaj Singh and urged to put forth their issue before the chief minister during his visit. “We have also urged the state government to allocate stress fund to resume pending projects. Besides, it should come up with some concrete financial resolutions to solve the issue,” Kaushal added.

Noida Extension Flat Owners’ Association (NEFOWA) too has extended its support to Amprali flat buyers’ demand for stress fund. While talking to City Spidey, NEFOWA members were of the view that since the matter is before the Supreme Court and it has stated that a huge amount is needed to complete Amrapali projects, the state government must arrange funds for it.

“Yes, there is a need for stress fund to support completion of the flats. If we could meet the chief minister, we would definitely raise this demand,” said Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA.
