The last election was held in 2017 which was challenged by a few residents in SDM court.
Elections to form Apartment Owners' Association (AOA) in Supertech Livingston, a high-rise in Crossings Republik, was conducted on Wednesday. Total of 9 members made their way to the board unopposed without contest. The reason behind their unopposed selection is cancellation of the nominations of other contestants.
Surprisingly, a total of 24 nominations were filed for the election but 15 of them were cancelled by election committee citing disregard of by-laws. "All of them were the second owners of their flats. And as per bylaws, second owners can't contest an election," a member of the election committee told City Spidey. The election committee was headed by Sub Division Magistrate (Ghaziabad).
The election in Supertech is held after a gap of two years. The last election was held in 2017 which was challenged by a few residents in SDM court. In February 2018, the election held in 2017 was nullified by SDM.
