Residents have no other option but to withstand the huge piles of filth lying in a huge vacant plot opposite to Amarpali Platinum, a high rise residential society in Sector 119, Noida. They said that it is prone to mosquito breeding and an open invitation to waterborne diseases.
Annoyed with the scene from where hazardous smell is coming out, residents said that garbage packets are being carelessly tossed on this vacant parcel of land.
They said that this is happening despite the civic cell of Noida Authority installed a board prohibiting dumping of garbage at the plot. The prescription on board says that dumping of garbage is strictly prohibited. But this is hardly being followed as piles of garbage can be seen on the site.
Residents said that sewerage water has also been clogging on the plot. It is now breeding ground and inviting epidemic for residents of nearby areas.
They said that officials of the Authority are responsible for the unhyheinic conditions where residents are forced to live.
They have not been cleaning the plot irrespective of many complaints made with them. It forced resident to brave with the stench coming out from the spot.
This is happening irrespective of the Authority's ongoing drive under which defaulters are being fined for dumping garbage in the open.
They are issuing challan to many, but this drive is yet to create impact at these sectors. On contacting officials from public health of Noida Authority, he said that the problem has been noted and it will be solved shortly.
