The city cops on Saturday arrested five accused including the wife of a 30-year-old electrician named Pankaj Mishra, who was shot on way to his job at a residential society in Sector 132. With this, Noida police claimed to solve the murder case.

The police said the victim's wife Shaila allies Nidhi has alleged affair with a man identified as Suresh Gidwani, a resident of Kendriya Vihar, a group housing society in Sector 82, Noida. Pankaj, the deceased, came to know about her alleged affair with the accused after checking her whatsapp messages.

"Unable to bear it any longer, Pankaj was causing trouble for both of them. Meanwhile, Gidwani planned to kill him. He went to one of his known mechanics, identified as Indrajeet and offered him Rs 10 lakh for murdering Nidhi's husband. Gidwani gave him Rs 50,000 in advance," police said.

The accused mechanic negotiated it with his known Monu Chaudhary and Suraj Tanwar and managed to convince them for killing Pankaj. They were given pistol, bullet, and a bike.

On June 20, they started following Pankaj from Bhangel, a local village and on the way to Sector 132, they, after finding a lonely spot, fired two bullets on him and flee away.

SP Mishra, brother of the victim had complained to the Noida Expressway police station. The police then registered an FIR against two unidentified criminals under Section 302 for murdering and started the investigation. Within a couple of days, they busted the whole gang.
