Crossings Republik: Group of men beats up security personnel for denying entry

In a shocking incident, a group of 7 to 8 unidentified men allegedly barged into Proview Laboni, a high-rise in Crossings Republik township, and thrashed three security personnel who were on duty at that time.

As per the CCTV footage received, they can be seen vandalising the guard room and other properties within the society premises for not allowing their car to enter the apartment.

According to police, it happened Sunday night when the prime suspect Omvir Singh (a resident of neighbouring Dundahera) got enraged because the guards denied entry to his car as the gate was only meant for residents' use. He later brought along 6-7 and beat Kapil Kumar, security supervisor, and two guards, Kuldeep Nagar and Veer Singh.

Talking to City Spidey on this issue, another security supervisor Lalan Mishra said, “The altercation began after the guards denied the entry of Singh’s car into the society. Singh left shouting that he will teach the guards a lesson. Around 9.30 pm, a man arrived at the main gate on his scooter and soon, other men arrived and started beating up the security supervisor and those guards.”

“Kapil, the supervisor suffered a severe head injury,” Mishra added.

City Spidey spoke to AK Chaurasia, general secretary of the high-rise, about this incident. He said, “The goons fled the spot when we reached to oppose the quarrel. We have lodged an FIR against the miscreants at Vijay Nagar police station.”

Disturbed by the incident, residents of Proview Laboni posted the video and tagged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, raising serious questions on law and order situation prevailing in the state.

Meanwhile, in-charge of the Vijay Nagar police station, Shashipal Bhardwaj concluded saying they are investigating the matter and will arrest the accused soon.
