The Ghaziabad administration on Sunday ordered an extension of the summer vacation for the students till Class 8 by two more days, citing the hot weather conditions within the state.
The District Magistrate of Ghaziabad, Ritu Maheshwari has ordered closure of all private and government schools in view of the prevailing heatwave in the state.
Thus, the summer vacation has been extended by two more days from July 1 to July 2 for the students. Schools will now reopen on July 3.
However, the directive applies only to classes from Nursery to 8th and will not be applicable on government's School Chalo Abhiyan.
