Noida: Jaypee Wishtown residents complain of untreated water supply

Residents of two different cluster of Jaypee Wishtown Township in Sector 128 are complaining against the supply of black coloured water.

A resident Pooja (name changed) said that washroom at her house in Pavilion Heights is getting black coloured water since the time she moved in. She claimed freshly cleaned toilets stink horribly due to the water and is extremely unhygienic for health. However, another resident from a different cluster of the residency said that clean water was being supplied to their area as of now, but earlier she was facing similar issues.

As per the regular guidelines, a residency must have functional Sewage Treatment Plant (STPs) that will supply clean water to flats. Normally, an STP has five different stages to process the water, these stages include-chemical coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection.

The condition in the society exists because the current STPs are not functioning properly leading to improper water supply to different regions of the township.

A group of residents have also raised this black water supply issue with the Jaypee maintenance representatives and they have assured for an appropriate solution to their issue.

While speaking to City Spidey, an officer with the maintenance agency said that several pipelines were changed earlier and clean water was being supplied to other areas of the township.
