Noida: Divine Meadows' developer delays AOA elections

Home buyers of Divine Meadows, a high-rise residential society in Sector 108, Noida on Friday alleged that the developer delayed the elections for apartments owner association in the society.
The reason behind this delay is the developer's greediness for maintenance fees contributed by individual flat occupant per month for availing services in the society.
Surender Kumar, a home buyer, who has already moved in his new flat in the society, alleged that the developer has been pocketing near about Rs 15 lakhs every month. He said, "The developer does not want to leave the society as maintenance and charges goes to him only." But the services are not as per the expectations.

In January, the developer forwarded a letter requesting each occupant of the society, which houses a total of 450 flats, to give their consent for conducting elections in the society. Several members of the home buyer association responded to the letter of the developer that they are ready for the election and would also take their time out to volunteer for it.

Kumar, one of home buyers who was for the elections, said that he urged the developer to appoint a retired judge or top a official as returning officer and let the free and fair election be conducted under his supervision.

Another home buyer, on the condition of anonymity said that this letter was the first and last communication in regards to AoA elections that he received. Thereafter, the developer has neither convened a meeting of all home buyers nor communicated with us for the same. He added, "We want the developer to fix a date for the elections to allow formation of AoA in the society."

This is going to be first election, which is to be initiated by the developer as per the rules. When City Spidey tried to contact to Rajeev Sharma, director of Divine India Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, the reality company, he did not answer the phone calls. We then sent him a text message informing him of the buyers complaints, but a reply to the message is yet awaited.
