A group of residents on Saturday carried out a cleaning drive here at Dwarka's Sector 7.
The drive, which was an initiative of groups like- Green Circle and Seniors Hub Dwarka, is a an affair that takes place on alternate weeks in which the locals participate with great zeal and enthusiasm. During the drive the volunteers cleaned a park located near Harsukh and Kamal Vihar Apartments.
A member of Morning Walker’s Club and a resident of Harsukh Apartments, Ravi Jaitely said, "the volunteers gather for activities on every second Saturday and carry out various activities like Shramdaan and cleaning drive, with an aim to create awareness of a plastic free environment."
The volunteers marked the ending of this week's drive by planting edible plants as a sign of welcoming the monsoon season.
