New CEO takes charge of Noida Development Authority

Ritu Maheshwari, New CEO Noida Authority takes charge and addresses the media over the city's pertaining issues 

Ritu Maheshwari on Monday took charge as chief executive officer of Noida Industrial Development Authority. She told City Spidey that she would work extensively on the implementation of solid waste management rules 2016. She said, "Door to door service for garbage collection is in progress but this model would be replicated for entire residential sectors in the city."

She stressed that each park of Noida Development Authority, which around 900 in number will have composting pit in the coming days. She said, "There are several high rises residential societies where the composting of wet waste is in progress. The remaining, which are in large number, would be encouraged for composting in their society."

She said that Pink toilets will be built for women in the city. She further added,“Like Ghaziabad,Noida will also have community toilet facility.” 

As the authority surveys the status of rain water harvesting at residential societies, she is likely to initiate steps to ensure that every society contributes towards water conservation. She said, "The detailed report of the state of rain water harvesting is yet to be complied. Once it is done, I will look into to the matter to ensure that each society, standing over plot areas of 300 sqm, have a an operational set up of rain water harvesting."
