Spokesperson with district magistrate office told that the RMC plant was operating in violation of the order.
City Magistrate Shailendra Kumar on Monday sealed an illegal ready mix concrete (RMC) plant located opposite to Sector 76 metro station in Noida. The move is expected to relieve residents of high rises in sectors 76 and 50, which are densely populated residential pockets.
BN Singh, district magistrate, GB Nagar, had directed city administration to initiate action against all RMC plants which are violating the order of National Green Tribunal (NGT). The order does not permit operation of RMC plants, which are running without environment protection.
Spokesperson with district magistrate office told that the RMC plant was operating in violation of the order. This illegal plant was sealed by city magistrate in presence of police personnel on the site.
He said, “Besides it, an on-duty supervisor with the RMC Plant was arrested from the site and he would be sent to jail for violating norms.”
A JCB machine and a tractor along with trolley were seized from the site as these vehicles were being used on the site for carrying mixed concrete to the construction site from the plant.
He said, “All other private operators of such RMC plants have been given warning to shut it down otherwise similar action would be taken against their plants as well.”
