GB Nagar: Police act against bouncers, security agencies deployed at high rises

Acting on the complaints of residents about recruitment of bouncers at many societies, Gautam Budh Nagar police on Monday carried out 'Operation Clean 15' drive against them. The police detained 36 bouncers from 18 societies in the district.

The residents were complaining that these bouncers used to misbehave with them causing a lot of discomfort.

During the drive which was carried out between 5 pm to 8 pm, police officials checked 215 societies in the area. The police found violation of Private Security Agency Regulation Act, 2005 (PSAR Act).

This Act was formed to regulate functioning of private security agencies so that they operate within a legal framework and are accountable to a regulatory mechanism.

These bouncers were later released after instructions to wear uniforms and behave well with the residents.

The police also found three security agencies which were not registered according to rules. An FIR is going to be registered against these security agencies.

These security agencies are – Exman Security Agency at Swarnim Vihar society at Sector 82, Noida; Golden Metro Security And Facility Security Agency at Sector 92 in Noida; and AVJ Heights Security Agency at Greater Noida.
