The Ghaziabad Development Authority on Tuesday sealed the sales office of an upcoming housing society, Officer I City, after it failed to pay compounding fee.
GDA officials said that the developer, Provide Infrastructure Private Limited, has failed to submit approximately two crore rupees to the authority which has resulted in such action.
The sealing followed after several notices and warnings issued by the GDA. "The builder continued to sell flats, which is against the rule of compounding," an officer told.
The Officer on Special Duty VK Singh said that the authority is on a campaign to recover long-pending compounding fees from the builders.
Compounding fee is levied by the authority after a developer enforces a deviation in the original layout plan of the project.TAGS: Ghaziabad Development Authority / GDA / Raj Nagar Extension / residential project sealed / Officer City / Compounding fee
