Noida

Vigil across Delhi NCR: Monday could prove a testing time for the police of three states across Delhi NCR. While Haryana districts like Sonepat and Rohtak are on alert as Jat quota agitators started pouring in the streets, Gautam Budh Nagar district of UP is keeping a close watch on Dadri in the wake of demands for a mahapanchayat to seek "justice" for those accused of killing Mohammad Akhlaq.

Four e-rickshaws fined Rs 60k: The commercial taxes department fined Bhartiya Micro (BMC) Credit Rs 60,000 for transporting four e-rickshaws without valid documents. However, BMC officials said they were being taken to Surajpur for servicing. The e-rickshaws were intercepted in Sector 62 while being transported to a workshop in Surajpur on a truck.

PM scheme e-ricks stolen: At least five e-rickshaws issued under the Bhartiya Micro Credit (BMC) scheme have been stolen in the last one month. The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The robbery of e-rickshaws have come to light when the transport department started their registration as commercial vehicles. FIRs have been registered at different police stations, following complaints by BMC officials, but none of them has been found.

Ghaziabad

Shop owner, salesman shot at for resisting robbery: A shop owner and his salesman were injured when armed robbers on bikes shot at them. The duo, who were waylaid by the robbers in Khoda, on the Ghaziabad-Delhi border at 9.30pm on Saturday, robbed of Rs 2 lakh. The robbers fired several rounds in the air before shooting at the store owner and his employee for resisting them.

Gurgaon

Plantation drive to celebrate World Environment Day: Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), district administration and the forest department have launched a campaign to plant native trees on Golf Course Road to coincide with World Environment Day. The plantation drive has to be completed before arrival of monsoon. Over 800 saplings have already been planted from Vatika Chowk on Golf Course Road to Ghata Chowk near Golf Course Extension Road.
