FONRWA members meet Noida SSP over OP Yadav case, seek arrest of accused

Members of the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association (FONRWA), met Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of police, G B Nagar on Friday and demanded arrest of the accused in OP Yadav's case.

On Wednesday night, OP Yadav, a contesting candidate for the upcoming FONRWA elections, was brutally attacked by unidentified miscreants. The incident took place at Arawali Apartment, Sector 52 Noida. Currently, Yadav is admitted to the city's Manas Hospital.

While expressing their concern on security in the region, the delegation said that Yadav's family is terrified of the brutal attack. They told the police that the accused had attacked him with a hammer and sharp knife, leaving Yadav in a pool of blood.

The incident has caused a reason for panic for all other candidates running for FONRWA elections. Yadav had filed his nomination papers for the vice-president's post of the federation. The election is due for July 21.

The delegation was led by FONRWA President NP Singh. He was accompanied by other 30 members including AN Dhawan, Secretary General, KK Jain, senior vice-president and office bearers from RWAs in Noida. They urged the police to strengthen security and accelerate their investigation into the case.

Sing said, "The incident has created a sense of insecurity among the families of office bearers of RWAs. Families are also pressurizing RWA members to resign from their respective posts. They don't feel safe. In the meeting, we urged SSP to look into the matter of safety."

SSP Krishna assured the delegation that strong action will be taken against the criminals.
