Noida Industrial Development Authority proposes mobile app

The Noida Industrial Development Authority (NIDA) is likely to launch a mobile application to track the development work and to ensure timely completion of works under its jurisdiction. Sources said that the decision to launch that mobile application came in an official meeting chaired by the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Noida Development Authority, Ritu Maheshwari.

The proposed mobile App will help citizens of Noida to lodge their grievances through a mobile application and they will not have to reach out to offices to get their work done. The grievances would be monitored to ensure whether the work is being done or not. At present, one has to dial call centre numbers for different issues and monitoring of the work in the system is still lacking.

Sources said that during the meeting, CEO directed Tata Power Ltd., which is operating call center for Nodia Authority to setup a mobile application for day-to-day monitoring of pending complains. She has also set a deadline of July 30 for launching the mobile application.

The CEO after joining, has also directed the concerned officials to replace 10,000 conventional bulbs with LED bulbs, setting a deadline at August 10. The CEO not only reviewed work in progress but has also given a clear message to the officials to complete their work on a stipulated time or face action.
