To inculcate a good habit among children, the residents organised two-day long drive involving activities of plantations, water conservation, cleanliness, maintaining hygienic standard in the society and contribute for social causes. It was a two-day drive that concluded on Sunday.
Residents, especially children and senior citizens of Prateek Wisteria, a high rise residential society in Sector 77, Noida, carried out drive to plant saplings and sweep in and around the society.
The residents who actively participated in the drive were Manik Singh, Monica Kaura, Richa Mitroo, Surbhi Saxena, Hemant Kaura, Nivedita Banerjee and Pankaj Kumar.
Another similar drive by residents of Homes-121, another high rise residential society in Sector 121, was conducted on Sunday. They planted several saplings outside the society’s entry and exit gates.
While the drive was in progress, residents planted 25 saplings and put water in them. They also took out cleanliness drive in the society to keep their premises free from dirt.
According to residents in the society, as many as 20 kids, senior citizens and women in good numbers gathered for these drives.
He told that this drive was started by residents of Tower C in the society. They would now encourage all residents from different residential towers to come forward for enhancing the green cover in the society and maintain cleanliness.
“Besides this, children were guided for contributing to social services,” he informed.
