Noida: Sikka Karmic Greens residents stage protest against developer

Residents of Sikka Karmic Greens, a high rise residential society in Sector 79, launched a massive protest against the developer of the society on Sunday. They complained that services being provided are not as per what they pay to the developer. They said that the swimming pool is not being maintained as per the prescribed standards. The plaster of the pool's surface and walls is chipping off, due to which residents of society don't want to use it.

While protesting residents said that the developer had promised them that this project is luxury project but currently it lacks basic facilities. They also said that the passenger lifts are not being maintained properly, due to which residents get trapped in them frequently. Such an incident occurred last week in which two minor girls got stuck in the passenger lift, while they were coming down from the sixth floor of a residential tower in the society.

Nishit Kumar, a resident of the society said that that seepage from several walls has already started in the society. He said the society lacks basic amenities. He also said that the developer has not installed an intercom service, even though many residents have moved in the society and have been residing here since several months.

Residents complained that though developer has been charging maintenance fee from all residents for providing several services, they are not in place. When they urge the developer to share the account details of expenditure over services and collection of money from residents, the developer refused to do so. Residents demanded that the developer should improve these service and also complete the remaining construction in the society.
