The Noida Authority is all set to honour three Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) which carried out best practices as per the laid norms to manage solid waste effectively inside the society.
The RWAs which were selected for felicitation on the basis of maintaining high standard of sanitation includes RWAs of Sector 34, Sector 47 and Stellar Kings Court in Sector 50.
According to an official with the authority, several RWAs from across the city were invited for inking an agreement for maintaining the cleanliness as per prescribe standard.
They entered in an agreement with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Noida Authority for effectively managing the solid waste of their respective premises.
K K Jain, General Secretary of Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA), also a resident of Sector 34, told that the initiative taken for cleanliness brought much-awaited fruits.
He said, “As mine is densely populated sector, in which, approximately 50 thousand residents have been residing, the RWA hired 50 sanitation staffs for segregation of dry and wet waste, cleanliness and disposing them.”
He informed that they have doing warming composting and keeping waste segregated. It is helping them a lot in maintaining the cleanliness in the sector.
They will soon be awarded by Noida Authority and BIS for the exemplary effort in maintaining cleanliness.
