Portion of the ceiling of one of the flats at The Hyde Park, Sector 78 Noida fell off, leaving the residents in shock.

The incident happened on Friday midnight, when Nikita Verma, sister of Aman Verma was sleeping in her room when suddenly the ceiling fell over her bed. She suffered minor injuries on neck and back.

In a telephonic interview with CitySpidey, Aman said, "His sister got lucky as the ceiling did not fall on her face or head as it would have injured her badly."

In a complaint written to the Society Head, Bipin Aggarwal, Aman alleged that there are cracks all over the ceiling. "There are major cracks in all rooms that can make ceiling fall anytime. This has happened previously in balconies too and there was no action taken by the maintenance team," he said.

Aman blamed the builder for the poor condition of the building. However, the builder's Operation Head, RS Aggarwal said, "These kinds of incidents took place as the flat owners continue with their renovation work, resulting in weakening of the entire structure, which further leads to such incidents."

Aggarwal further added that the repair works at flat number 101 of K-Tower, Aman's residence, were initiated hours after the incident.

Meanwhile, Aman is in talks with his owner, asking him to file a complaint against the builder with the authorities.
