The Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari, has decided to crack down on the exorbitant expenditure being spend on the development works by the department.
Maheshwari's decision comes after she inspected the ongoing development works of a park in Sector 117 and observed that excessive budget is granted for it. She further asked the officials to put all the developmental works on hold, till the enquiry, is complete.
A statement released by the Authority stated that after surveying the blueprint of the park, the CEO decided to put the ongoing development works on hold. She was suspecting that the fund issued was more than required.
An enquiry committee headed by General Manager and in-charge of civil cell Noida Authority, KK Agarwal, has been set up into the matter. He is assigned to ensure the enquiry is done within weeks, only then the works at the park will begin. Later, the report will be presented to Maheshwari.
