The event was convened by a team of residents which goes by the name of Residents Integrity Team (RIT).
In a noble cause, a team of 20 residents of Ajnara Integrity, a high rise in Raj Nagar Extension, planted 43 saplings on a road in Raj Nagar Extension. The residents planted saplings of Peepal on the central verge of an internal road of the area.
The event was convened by a team of residents which goes by the name of Residents Integrity Team (RIT). “The team is quite diverse with members comprising of teenagers, youth, middle age and elderly,” told Amit Gupta, a member of the team.
The team has vowed to plant over 1,000 saplings by the end of August, Gupta told. “Considering the marginal level of greenery in the area, we all come together to do our bit for the environment around us,” Gupta added.
Gupta further informed that ill date, the team has managed to plant 83 sapling and is going to add 100 more on Wednesday.
In another society, Aura Chimera, situated in Raj Nagar Extension, the Apartments Owner’s Association (AOA) planted 60 saplings inside the society’s premises.
