Residents of Supertech Capetown, a high rise residential society in Sector 74, Noida, initiated a drive led by Naveen Dubey to solve the issue of car parking in their society. The developer also extended support by forming a task team comprising ten watchmen for resolving the problems being faced by residents.
They complained that in case a fire breaks out in the society, it won't be possible to take fire tenders in quickly. It is because the open spaces and streets inside the society have turned into an illegal parking lot.
Naveen Dubey, who dared to step up with measures, said that there are three sectioned parking lots in the society. These include one in basement-1 and basement-2 and the third in the open area. One in the basement-2 is not functional as an accelerator is yet to be installed for the convenience of residents. But the open parking lot is overly occupied as many more vehicles are parked in it despite its capacity is to accommodate 500 cars only.
He said, "In case of emergency, we will not have time to search for owners of these vehicles to clear the streets to pave way for fire tenders in the society. Keeping this in mind, we decided to clear streets and open spaces which are currently occupied by haphazard parking."
As these preventive steps are being taken by residents, the move is endorsed by the developer of the society. They are towing cars, which are illegally parked in the open.
Dubey said, "Cars not bearing the stickers issued by the society will be taken out of the society compound. Residents should either rent a vacant parking lot or purchase a new one for parking their cars within the society compound. Many residents, who do not have own parking lots but have two cars are parking in the open space, which has been a cause of trouble for other residents."
He also said that a meeting was convened today in which many residents were present. They have welcomed the move of solving the parking issues in the society.TAGS: Noida / Supertech Capetown / Noida news / Parking issues
