As per the victim, the incident happened around 1 pm when her brother was in reception area of the hotel which is owned by the family.
Following a heated argument, a 25-year-old woman and her family was allegedly attacked by idols of deity by her maternal uncle inside a hotel situated at Ahinsa Khand II in Indirapuram on Monday afternoon.
The attack happened on the woman, her 16-year-old brother and 62-year-old grandfather. While the woman received serious injuries on her head, her brother and grandfather also got injured.
As per the victim, the incident happened around 1 pm when her brother was in reception area of the hotel which is owned by the family. The attack happened after a heated argument between the woman's brother and the uncle on a family dispute.
“I was in the reception area when my uncle came. He started talking rubbish about my father which I objected. He got furious and started abusing me. Soon, he went out of control. Then, I called my sister and grandfather. They came to the hotel and confronted my uncle. He lost his temper and attacked us with the idols kept on the reception desk,” the brother claimed.
After the attack, the family received first aid at Shanti Gopal Hospital, a hospital nearby the hotel. The family has registered a complaint against his uncle at Indirapuram Police Station. “We have received the complaint and will take action after completing the formalities,” the police said.
The family lives in Vasundhara area of Ghaziabad. The FIR was not lodged as yet.
