The construction works were stopped three years ago.
Scores of home buyers of Newtech La Palacia in Greater Noida West staged protest against the society developer. They alleged that they had booked flats in 2014 but they were yet to receive possession.
Homebuyers alleged that the construction work has been stopped and they were clueless about any information when they would get their dream home for which they have already paid.
“We had booked a flat in this project in 2014 and were assured to get possession within two and a half years. We waited till then and now we are not aware when we will get our flats. The construction works were stopped three years ago. The government must step into the matter and provide our homes,” a protester said.
Flatbuyers, during the protest also demanded that the builder should pay interest to them due to late possession of their flats. “Whenever we approached the builder, we would return back with promises. We have had enough of promises, we are forced to stage this protest,” protesters said.
Flatbuyers further claimed that they have paid up to 90 per cent of dues of their flats and they have also been paying bank’s interest. Later, flat buyers reached out to Bishrakh police station and lodges a complaint against the project developer.
