Drinking water supply to high-rises and residential pockets across the city will be disrupted from August 1 to August 15, an official statement issued by Noida Development Authority said.
The statement said that the authority is carrying out a regular maintenance work of under ground pipelines due to which the supply of Ganga Jal will be disrupted for next two weeks.
Further, it said that though the authority would supply water from rain wells and borewells to manage the demand but some areas may also face the issue of low water pressure.
BM Pokhariyal, Deputy General Manager, Noida Development Authority, said, "Residents are being made aware so that they should refrain from the habit of wasting water in cleaning home floors and washing their cars during the period. Though, water tankers would be deployed to manage crisis in case it arises. But to avail this service, residents will have to request for water tankers on the helpline."
The authority released help line numbers-0120-2425025, 26, and 27 informing residents to call in case of emergency or water shortage during the above mentioned period.
Due to ongoing construction work on NH24, Indirapuram will also face similar water crisis.
