Noida Development Authority chiefs on Friday unveiled a mobile app, 'Noida Smart LED' to provide a platform to the Noida residents to file complaints about damaged or non-functional street lights in the region.
In order to file complaints, the resident will be asked to provide the basic information including, address, contact number, and a picture of the defunct lights told an official to CitySpidey. The registered complain will be received by the agency assigned to maintain the lights.
With the help of the app, the authority is aiming to repair the lights within a period of 48 hours. However, the timing of the repair works may differ with the nature of the complaint.
An officer said, "Action taken will be updated for the information of the complainant. Minor problems can be resolved within 48 hours. But if the problems are big and are related to the transformer, fault in electricity supply lines then, it may take a little longer to solve the issue. The maximum time for solving such big problems will be within four-five days."
The application was launched by the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority Chairman, Alok Tandon and Chief Executive Officer, Ritu Maheshwari.
Residents using both, iOS and Android, can download the app via Google Playstore.
