GDA plants 3000 saplings at Raj Nagar Extension

With an aim to increase green cover area, Ghaziabad Development Authority plants 3000 saplings at Raj Nagar Extension on Saturday morning. 

The event started at 10 am in the presence of Kanchan Verma, Vice Chairperson of GDA. The residents of the area seemed excited and contributed their labour in the event as well.

The authority planted 2000 saplings at a newly built road next to GD Goenka school. While remaining 1000 saplings were distributed to high rises of the area. Verma visited few societies and supervised the plantation there.

Besides, a team of GDA led by Kanchan Verma also visited some societies of the area to inspect whether the societies have planted trees as per building laws. However, the team did not reveal the findings of their inspection as the process has just initiated. "We will reveal the data after covering the whole area. This inspection will take a few days," an official stated.
