Residents planted 50 Neem, 50 Gulmohar and 100 flower plants as a mark of friendship with nature.
On the occasion of friendship day, residents of Rishabh Cloud 9, a high rise in Indirapuram, gave a message of befriending nature on Sunday. The residents planted 200 saplings inside the society’s premises.
"Nature is our best friend and on this friendship day, we tried to strengthen our friendship with the nature by planting trees,” said Sandeep Pandey president of Apartment Owners Association (AOA) of the society.
Residents planted 50 Neem, 50 Gulmohar and 100 flower plants as a mark of friendship with nature. More than 70 residents including kids and elderly participated in this drive.
"Trees are our lifelong friends. They provide us clean air and in demand just a little care in return," said 11-year-old Shubhra.
Besides, the AOA urged the residents to contribute a little more. "We have also urged the residents to plant atleast 2 saplings in their balconies," Sandeep said.
The event was organised by the AOA and Indirapuram based Green Team which works for betterment of environment.
