In solidarity with the Unnao rape victim and concern over safety and security of the women in the city residents of Gurugram came together and initiated a movement called "India Against Rape" to stop violence against women.

Members of Rangmanch India along with the city residents held a protest on Sunday at IFFCO Chowk seeking justice for Unnao rape survivor. They also raised their voices against women exploitation.

People held banners and raised slogans condemning the incident. Even though they were few in numbers they relentlessly created awareness among the people.

Suchita, founder of Rangmanch India and an organiser said, “India Against Rape is our call to support women’s freedom and raise a strong voice to stop violence against women. We are trying to create more awareness on safety of women in our society.”

She further said, "The government makes all these tall claims about creating a safe environment for women but we don't feel safe outside our home. There is a need to take stringent action against culprit so that others think twice while committing heinous crimes.”

Neeta Sharma, an organiser said, "We need to create more awareness among the society. Women are always told to dress appropriately and change their lifestyle but no one questions men and their conduct."
