AOA of Ajnara Integrity, Raj Nagar Extension has alleged involvement of a gang of automobile thieves active in the area.
Concerned with rising incidents of vehicle thefts in the society, the AOA of Ajnara Integrity, Raj Nagar Extension wrote a letter to SSP Ghaziabad on Monday. In the letter, the AOA has demanded better patrolling and action against the maintenance management of the society for lapse in the security.
"In last few months, four motorcycles have been burgled from the society which has made residents concerned for the security of their vehicles," the letter read.
However, the letter pointed towards a strange common link in all the two wheeler thefts that happened in last few months--the two wheelers stolen were bullets (a motorcycle range manufactured by Royal Enfield commonly called bullet).
“In last week of July, 1 bullet was was stolen, in last week of April, 2 bullets were stolen from the basement and in January, one bullet was stolen from the society,” the letter highlighted.
The AOA has also demanded an action against Lotus maintenance services private limited, the maintenance agency of the society for security lapses and overlooking the complaints of the residents.
"Even after repeated complaints to the maintenance agency, they are not rectifying the security lapses pointed out by us," said Nitin Tyagi, president of AOA.
Besides, AOA has alleged involvement of a gang of automobile thieves active in the area behind the recent thefts in the society. "For last few months, a gang of auto thieves are active in Raj Nagar Extension. They have terrorised the area with incidents of automobile thefts and the residents are quite concerned with the lackadaisical approach of police for not busting this gang," the letter read.
