With an aim to build harmony and boost sportsmanship, Vatika City, a high rise society in sector 49, Gurugram hosted a swimming competition for its residents on Sunday.

Anil Khatri, secretary Haryana Swimming Association and vice-president of Swimming Federation of India was the chief guest at the occasion.

155 residents including kids, men and women participated in the competition. A total of 8 groups of different ages were formed. All the groups participated with full vigour and enthusiasm.

Dinesh Mudra, Sports Head, Vatika City RWA said, "This is the first time that around 22 adults participated in a swimming competition. Many of them, especially women, won medals. Everyone who participated in the competition enjoyed it and had a wonderful experience.”

Around 350 certificates including 200 medals and 20 trophies were awarded at the award ceremony.
Vatika City RWA President Giriraj Gupta, General Secretary Anil Malhotra, Joint Secretary Jyoti Ahuja and Vice President Satyawan Dagar were present at the occasion.
