Tuesday morning rain causes trouble for Indirapuram residents

The advent of much awaited monsoon came in its full swing on Tuesday morning in Delhi-NCR. Though rain brought relief to people from the hot and humid weather, seems like residents of Indirapuram were not happy. Many parts of the area were submerged in water making difficult for people to commute.

Waterlogging in several parts of the city angered many residents. Abhinav Jain, municipal councillor of Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram said, “Even after multiple complaints to Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) for cleaning of drains in the area nothing has been done which resulted in waterlogging.” He further complained, “It is because of GDA's callousness, I have to face the ire of the residents.”

However, as per Indian Meteorological Department, there was a rain deficit of 69 pc till 31st July in Ghaziabad.
