Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) wrote to CM Akhilesh Yadav, reiterating their demand to empower RWAs with legal recognition and financial powers. Noida MLA Vimla Batham promised to take up the issue with the CM.
“RWAs do the same work as elected representatives. Yet, we don't have any power. Even the Village Development Welfare Association is proposed to have legal recognition and financial powers to develop civic amenities. It is unfair that RWAs are not entitled to such powers from the state government,” said NP Singh, President of FONRWA
