Indirapuram: Portion of road near Princess Park caves in

After heavy downpour on Tuesday morning, more than 12 feet long portion of a road in front of Princess Park, a high-rise in Ahinsa Khand II of Indirapuram, caved in. The portion is dangerously caved in leading a mini truck to tilt. The truck tilted around midnight on Tuesday.
 
The portion which is right in front of the exit gate of Princess Park is quite deep and has become a nuisance for the residents of the high-rise as well. It has blocked the exit gate of the building, forcing the residents to use the entry gate for the purposes of exit and entry both.

 
"As only one gate is available, the residents are facing extreme difficulty in taking their vehicles in and out of the society," told Vibhav Garg, general secretary of Apartments Owners Association (AOA) of Princess Park.
 
"The portion can prove fatal for the big vehicles. There are high chances of more accidents if tyres of vehicles get inside the caved portion they are likely to tilt," Garg cautioned.
 
"We even made the school buses in the morning turn around and avoid this road," Garg added.
 
Meanwhile, the residents complained about this to Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). GDA official visited the spot after the complaint and got grit dumped to fill the portion.
 
Besides, another cave in appeared on the same road just 100 meters away from the Princess Park. This spot lies near Exotica Elegance Arcade market. Though this portion is smaller in size it needs attention so that it doesn't spread further.

 
The caved in roads puts a question mark on the quality of material used in construction of this road.
 
"The quality is so poor that within months of construction the gaps and cracks have started to appear on the road," commented Sweta Rai, a resident of Exotica Elegance, a high-rise next to the spot.
 
After being in dilapidated condition for more than year, the road was constructed in April 2019 after the residents upset with lackadaisical attitude of GDA threatened to abstain from voting in general elections of 2019.
 
Just yesterday, a portion of the same road caved in near DPS School situated in the locality.
 
The road was blocked after it caved in. The residents are taking another route which is resulting in huge traffic congestion in the area.
