Noida: Eldeco Aamantran residents worried by waterlogged park

Residents of Eledco Aamantran, a high rise residential society in Sector 119, Noida on Thursday complained against waterlogging in their neighbouring park.

Sanjay Mehta, a resident of the society said that the authority failed to construct a stormwater drain that can channelise the rainwater. The absence of the drain is now causing inconvenience to the residents living in highrise societies in the region.

"Three days have already passed since it rained on Tuesday. Water clogged in the park is turning into a mosquito breeding ground. This has become an annual event. I would request concerned officers to fix the problem," said Mehta.

In a similar situation, another park in Sector 51 is facing a similar problem, where rainwater is clogged.

Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary of RWA, Sector 51, lodged a complain with Noida Development Authority drawing top officer's attention towards the problem. The complaint was made via Twitter. In the post, he said that the park for children has turned into a water body, which is a perfect place for mosquito breeding. The authority should initiate action to solve the problem.

Kumar had tagged the chief executive officer of Noida, Ritu Maheshwari; Noida MLA's Pankaj Singh; chief minister Yogi Adityanath, and chief secretary of UP in the post, to draw their attention.
