Residents of Greater Noida West will have a separate post office that will cater to all high-rise apartments in the area. As per an official, the new post office will have the facilities like banking, Adhar card, passport and many other to provide easier services to the residents.
Currently, residents of high-rise buildings in Greater Noida go to the post office located in sector 1 for any post office related service. Earlier, multiple pin codes were creating a lot confusion and there have been flood of complaints from the residents in this regard.
To resolve their issue, a new pin code – 201318 was allotted especially for the area which consists of many high-rise buildings. The existing post office lacks several facilities, including banking system. Therefore, setting up a new post office in the area has become an important demand for the residents.
Rakesh Raina, a senior official in Greater Noida post office said that a place for setting up a post office in Greater Noida West needs to be finalised. “We had a meeting with Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) members and asked them to suggest a place for setting up a post office,”said Raina.
NEFOWA has assured them to provide a place for the new post office.
Member of NEFOWA, Vikash Kumar said, “Residents were facing several problems while going to the post office which was at a distance from their residences. They had to go to the post office to avail different services. Moreover, there were many services which were not available at the post office located in sector 1.”
Residents were facing a lot of problem in getting their posts. They had to visit post office often to get their posts.
The new proposed post office will have all the facilities like Sukanya Yojana, insurance schemes, savings account, Aadhaar card etc. At present, people need to visit Noida and Ghaziabad for making and updating Aadhaar card.TAGS: Post office / Greater Noida West / high-rise buildings
