RESIDENT SPEAK: Dwarka Sector 3 residents irked by blocked service lane

Residents of Sector 3, Dwarka have been facing a tough time due to a blocked service lane. The lane runs along Master Plan Road 201. Due to the blockage, commuters who have to enter societies like Ekta Apartments or go towards Matiala and visit schools in the neighbourhood are suffering. They have to take a U-turn from traffic signal of Sectors 3,4,12 and 13 which is over two kilometres from the nearby Rajapuri Chowk.

Residents of our society (Ekta Apartments) are the worst affected as the blockage has been installed just before our society. It was put up almost a month back. I don’t know who has blocked it but it seems like the doing of a government agency.

Now the question is, how can we approach our society using that service lane if we are coming from Rajapuri Chowk towards Master Plan Road 201?

It is tough to travel almost an extra three kilometres to enter our homes by taking the U-turn, even though there is a proper entry point for towards societies via the service lane. We would usually have to travel 500 metres only before the block was put. This blockage is also a concern for our right to use it. Due to this, the existing infrastructure, i.e., the service lane cannot be used properly. I request the concerned authority to remove the hindrance and open the service lane for smooth and easy access to the societies along the road.
